The original plan was to shoot Megan’s portraits here in Fresno. Once we got talking about it, everyone involved thought it would be a swell idea to go shoot them in Pismo. Swell indeed. After a lunch at Mo’s BBQ in Pismo, mmmmmmm, we went for some pictures around the town. We found some cool spots that I have never even seen in all my times going to Pismo. At one point we were walking by a nail shop, Che Bella, and noticed a gorgeous red couch in the window. We just had to take a few on there. They were totally cool with us, great bunch of people. The funny thing was when Megan was laying down on the couch, one of the ladies told her that she should take her shirt off! I had to tell her that this was a high school senior shoot. She was so embarrassed that her face turned a brighter red than the couch. Good times.
After Pismo, we decided to shoot some beach shots at Avila Beach. Megan is an avid dancer, so what better than pictures on the oceanfront in ballet shoes? We ended up putting her on a massive rock on the shore. Too bad I had to wade through 2 feet of ice cold water to get to it. I pretty much ruined my pair of shoes too. Worth it? Oh yeah! All in all it was a fabulous session. We had a great time and I can’t wait to do more sessions on the coast! Don’t forget to check out the video too!
