Now for something different. Meet Jade. She is an adorable, sweet little girl. She also happens to be the first infant I have shot, besides my own.  I don’t usually shoot infants, but her mom is the sister of another great client I have, so how could I say no? Besides, they had all kinds of cute props for her. Check out the sweet bloomers made of flowers. Too much cuteness! So take a second, look at the pictures and leave a comment. I would love to hear what you think.

This is what you have waited for! Our annual Spring Portrait Event is here!  Take advantage of the beautiful spring blooms and greenery while updating the family photographs you keep meaning to take.  How old are the kids in your most recent family picture?  If it’s been 2 years or more, it’s probably time to take them again.  Were you scrambling to find a good family portrait for your Christmas cards last year?  Plan ahead and take them now while it’s warm and beautiful! Each session is 30 minutes and the location will be beautiful and green in the Fresno area.  Location to be announced the week before the session based on current conditions.

Dates:  Saturday, March 19 & Sunday, March 27

Everblue Studios is looking for positive, outgoing, and energetic members of the Class of 2012 to be models for our studio.  We are currently accepting models from all Fresno, Clovis and Visalia area schools.  Your images will be used in our advertising this year on Facebook, in print media and product samples.  As a model for Everblue Studios, you get a mini session (only available to models), a full senior portrait session ($100 value), and a miniature accordion album with images from your mini session (plus some really flippin’ cool suprise bonuses!).  When you refer someone to us, they get $50 off their session fee, and you get $50 cash!  It’s that simple.  Don’t think you’re the model type?  Don’t worry, you’ll look like one when we’re done with you.

Here’s how it works:

  • Your mini session must be complete by May 1, 2011.  This gives us time to get you your accordion album and share it with your friends before summer break.
  • You will get 5-10 images to post on Facebook from your mini session.
  • You must agree to represent Everblue Studios exclusively for one year.
  • You and your parents must meet with us and sign a model release.

Apply now! Click here for the application.

I wanted to post a quick one to share some images from the fall portrait event we held.  We had a crazy good turnout for it, we ended up shooting 13 wonderful families. Of course the main day that we were going to shoot the bulk of the sessions, rain was in the forecast. This was not some isolated sprinkles either. This was build a boat and start gathering pairs of animals type of rain. We waited as long as we could hoping that the weatherman would change his mind. Finally we gave in and rescheduled all the families for other days. End of story? Not quite. The day came and I’m ready to stay inside with a bowl of soup in front of the fire while the storm of the century washes away my lawn……didn’t happen.  It was probably one of the most beautiful days I have ever seen in Fresno. Bright deep blue sky with massive puffy white clouds. Couldn’t have been better for a shoot. Other than that hiccup, the sessions went great. Don’t believe me? Check out some of my favorite images below. Oh, and if you are kicking yourself for not jumping in on the portrait event (as well you should be), don’t worry, we will have a spring event. Stay tuned for details.
